Born in Ischia (Naples, Italy) in 1980, Fabio Gallucci began to play the mandolin when he was 6 years old. He was awarded the Diploma in Mandolin at the Naples Conservatory before furthering his studies with Florentino Calvo at the ENMD in Argenteuil, France, and with Juan Carlos Muñoz at the Conservatory of Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg. 

He also studied baroque music with M. Squillante at the ‘La Pietà dei Turchini’ Centre for Ancient Music in Naples, as well as composition, musical analysis and counterpoint at the Conservatory of Naples and the Conservatory of Montpellier, France.

He has worked with major theatres and orchestras in Italy and in France, including the Teatro San Carlo, Naples; the Opera Garnier, Paris; the Orchestre Symphonique de Montpellier; the Maggio Musicale Florentino; the Cagliari Opera; and the Arena Sferisterio of Macerata. He has performed under conductors such as Rostropovich, Berio, Renzetti, Santi, Garforth, Pahn, and Foster.About_me.html
